How to find us

If you work at Wellington Place you have access to a range of facilities, initiatives and discounts which make travelling to work by a sustainable mode easier. You can flick through the tabs above to find out how to get here by various means and read below for what special extras are available if you work here.

Walking

Check out our walking maps, perfect for a lunchtime stroll waterwayscivic quarter and southbank. Each of the buildings at Wellington Place has showers and changing facilities if you get hot and bothered on your way!

Cycling

Routes: We are wonderfully located close to a number of off-road cycle routes that are traffic-free, including the Cycle Superhighway from Bradford to East Leeds, and the Leeds-Liverpool canal towpath.

Changing facilities: Each of the buildings at Wellington Place has showers and changing facilities.

Cycle parking: Most of the buildings have basement cycle parking (buildings 3, 5, 6 and 10). If you work at 1 or 2 Wellington Place, you may be eligible to access the indoor bike storage in one of the other buildings, contact your building manager for more details. If not, you can use any of the visitor parking across the estate, including in between 10 & 3 Wellington Place, in between 5 & 6 Wellington Place and in the CyclePods by the 4 Wellington Place hoardings, opposite Sociable Folk.

Free cycle hire: sign up to our App-Bike scheme to have access to our 6 free bikes, available 24/7. These can be booked through the app and are perfect for a trip out at lunchtime or to get to a meeting.

Buying a new bike: Most of the businesses at Wellington Place offer a cycle to work scheme, allowing you to spread the cost of a bike and equipment over a longer period. Check with your company to find out more. If your company would like help setting up a cycle to work scheme, contact the travel team.

Cycle buddies: Want to cycle but need some encouragement? Use our Facebook cyclists group to find a buddy.

Cycle initiatives: We run free cycle maintenance sessions, competitions, cyclist breakfasts and guided cycle rides – keep your eye on our socials and the Parklife newsletter for upcoming events.

Bus and Park & Ride

Bus companies Arriva, First and Transdev have teamed up with Wellington Place to offer discounts on bus and Park and Ride tickets – great news if you are looking for a cheaper commute!

Train

Many of the businesses at Wellington Place offer the corporate MCard scheme and/or rail season ticket loans. These allow you to take advantage of a discounted fare, but spread the cost over a year.

Enterprise Car Club

Companies and employees at Wellington Place are able to sign up to Enterprise Car Club for free, with drive time then charged at a reasonable hourly rate. There is a car club vehicle parked right on site, and it is perfect if you suddenly need a car during the day, but have come into work by walking, cycling or on public transport. This means you don’t have to drive in rush hour, but have access to a car if you need one.

Rail

Wellington Place is just a few minutes walk from Leeds train station, which offers direct services to a huge range of destinations all over the UK. Plan your rail journey here.

You can walk from the train station to Wellington Place along the River Aire path, Whitehall Road or Wellington Street. You can view a walking route to Wellington Place from the train station here.

Walk

Wellington Place is just a short walk from all the city’s fantastic amenities, hotels, train station and bus services. You can view a walking route to Wellington Place from the train station here.

There are a number of walking routes available to take around Wellington Place such as the waterways route, the civic quarter route and the Southbank route. These walks can easily be taken within lunch breaks too.

Bus

Whitehall Road and Wellington Street, either side of Wellington Place, are well served by frequent bus services to the city centre and to other destinations around Leeds and beyond to Pudsey, Bradford, Halifax and Huddersfield. These stops, which are shown on this map, are a short walk from the centre of Wellington Place. There is a real-time passenger information screen located in Tower Square to let you know when your next bus is.

Cycle

There are a number of on and off-road cycle routes leading to Wellington Place including the Cycle Superhighway, Whitehall Road and the canal towpath.

Once you arrive on-site, you can lock your bike using one of our Secure by Design Streetpod bike storage units located at the 4 Wellington Place hoardings opposite Sociable Folk. More information can be found here.

Road

Because of its accessible location close to the city centre and railway station, there are many options for accessing Wellington Place without using your own car, click through the tabs above to find a mode to suit you.

Parking

Park and Ride

Park and Ride is a cheap and convenient way of getting to Wellington Place. Find out more information about Leeds bus-based Park and Ride on the Metro website here. The closest Park and Ride bus stops T8 and T9 on Boar Lane, can be found on this map. Rail-based Park & Ride also exists at Apperley Bridge, Kirkstall Forge and Low Moor.

Enterprise Car Club

Enterprise Car Club gives members the use of a network of modern, low emission vehicles so that you can leave your car at home. Click here to find out more.

Air

Leeds Bradford Airport is a 30-minute direct bus ride from Wellington Place on the Flying Tiger 757, which runs every 20 minutes. You can catch the bus from stop W9 shown on this map. The 757 has a luggage storage room, Wifi and device charging points.
