Developer and Asset Manager, MEPC is celebrating the next milestone at its Wellington Place development as ground works begin on 4 Wellington Place. The official groundbreaking ceremony marks the start of the construction phase for the new BREAAM excellent office building, which is due for completion in 2020.
Wates Construction has been announced as the lead contractor for the build, which continues its six
year relationship with MEPC. 4 Wellington Place will be the seventh building to be completed by Wates
and will offer 156,000 sq. ft of Grade A office, retail and leisure space.
Paul Pavia, Head of Development, MEPC, said: “We’ve had another very successful year so far here at
Wellington Place and 4 Wellington Place marks the next stage of that. This phase of the development
will complete the east end of the masterplan, providing our customers, both present and future with the
highest quality working environment available in Leeds.”
