We’re delighted to welcome Leeds Community Foundation as the newest member of our vibrant and welcoming neighbourhood here at Wellington Place.
Leeds Community Foundation is dedicated to creating opportunities and driving positive change across Leeds and Bradford. By partnering with local organisations, the foundation ensures support reaches the communities that need it most.
In a significant new chapter, the foundation has relocated to 12 Wellington Place, thanks to a partnership with Arup. This move strengthens its shared commitment to social value and community empowerment across the region.
Arup’s decision to co-locate with Leeds Community Foundation underscores its belief in the power of shared spaces to foster collaboration and innovation. The partnership will create valuable opportunities for knowledge sharing, helping both organisations respond more effectively to the evolving needs of the region. By working together in a dynamic, supportive environment, they can deliver even greater impact for the communities they serve.
We spoke to Steph Taylor, Chief Executive Officer at Leeds Community Foundation, about the relocation and why Wellington Place is the perfect fit for the organisation:
“We’re delighted to join the Wellington Place community. It’s the perfect fit for us, as many of the supporters and investors we collaborate with are already based here.
“We’re also thrilled to be working with Arup, who have generously provided us with office space free of charge as part of their social value commitment to the city. Not only is the environment fantastic, but 12 Wellington Place is also one of the most sustainable office buildings in the UK, something that aligns closely with our values and was a key factor in our decision to move here.
“Wellington Place offers fantastic spaces for eating, socialising and working flexibly, which is essential for us as we respond to the needs of the communities we support. With a variety of meeting spaces and a vibrant environment, it enables us to stay connected, be out in the city and work closely with those experiencing social challenges first hand.
“Using Wellington Place as a base to do that means we’ve got a lot more flexibility and freedom in how we work, which helps us serve the city better as well.”
We’re thrilled to have Leeds Community Foundation join our community and look forward to seeing the positive impact they’ll continue to make.
