The Big Green Get Together – Sustainable Market
Tuesday, 10th June, 12 – 2 PM, Tower Square – Open to all
Get ready for a celebration of sustainability at Tower Square’s Big Green Get Together! The square will transform into a bustling hub of eco-friendly activities and local vendors.
Vegan Spice will tantalize your taste buds with their vibrant plant-based street food, while Veg’n’lishious will satisfy your sweet cravings with their delectable patisserie delights.
Remember to bring your empty bottles and jars! Eco House will be providing a sustainable refilling station for all your household essentials. Meanwhile, Incredible Edible will be sharing invaluable tips on urban growing and community gardening.
As part of our greener travel initiative – West Yorkshire Police will be on hand to demonstrate bike-tagging techniques to help keep your ride safe.

Free Bike Maintenance

Cycling is a fantastic way to embrace sustainable travel, reducing your carbon footprint while staying active. Whether you’re commuting to work or exploring Leeds on two wheels, regular maintenance is key.
Luckily, we’ve teamed up with Woodrup Cycles to offer free bike servicing for Wellington Place community members!
Drop by on either day for a first-come, first-served expert tune-up that ensures your ride is safe and smooth on the roads, all while contributing to a cleaner, greener future!

Members of the Wellington Place community are invited to Join Richard Warren’s guided Cycle Social, a relaxed group bike ride showcasing scenic routes in the area. Bring your own bike or take advantage of the free bike hire available for the Wellington Place community. It’s a great way to stretch your legs, enjoy fresh air and make cycling part of your everyday routine.
