Hear about the charity’s fantastic work and how you can get involved
Out Together – Friends of Dorothy are hosting a meet-up at Wellington Central on Wednesday 8th June, 12.30-1.30pm. This welcoming charity hosts regular events and activities across Leeds, championing social inclusion and tackling loneliness within the older LGBTQ+ generations.
Everyone is welcome to pop down to learn about the charity. You’ll also get to know more about the LGBTQ+ community here at Wellington Place! The meet-up is entirely free to join but you do need to register below to secure your space.
The event will start with a presentation from Tim Gittins, Chair of Trustees for Out Together – Friends of Dorothy. Alongside fellow members of the charity, Tim will talk about:
- The history of Out Together – Friends of Dorothy
- The work done by Out Together – Friends of Dorothy
- Stories from those who have benefited from the charity
- Upcoming event dates and how to join
- How you can support the charity, including our upcoming Pride Stride on 17 June!
There’ll also be an opportunity to ask any questions you have. Refreshments are provided but feel free to bring food along with you and enjoy a social and welcoming lunchtime.
Out Together – Friends of Dorothy has some rather famous ambassadors: Matt Jameson and Daniel McKee, who some of you may know from E4’s Married at First Sight UK! Matt and Dan have also organised a fundraising ball, ‘All Out Together Ball’, to raise money for this worthwhile cause. Tickets are still available for Saturday 28 May if you’re interested!
