Veeno was born in 2013 from a passion for Italy’s food and wine traditions. Inspired by the Italian ritual of aperitivo – a moment to enjoy fine wine, delicious food and great company – founders Nino Caruso and Rodrigue Trouillet created a welcoming space where people could gather and connect over shared experiences.
What sets Veeno apart from the crowd is its authentic roots. All of their wines are sourced directly from Italy, and they’re the only wine bar in the UK whose wines all come from their own family vineyards in Sicily. The family vineyard, Carusi & Minini, has been producing wine for over a century, cultivating native grapes like Nero d’Avola, Grillo and Zibibbo.
Many of these wines feature in the tasting experiences, paired with artisanal meats and cheeses sourced directly from Italy. From premium pecorino to authentic prosciutto, every ingredient is handpicked and tells its own story of heritage and quality.
In addition to its wines, Veeno also serves authentic Italian pizza and pasta, along with Nino’s grandma’s famous tiramisu recipe – one of their most loved desserts.

The Wine & Nibbles Wine Tasting is a great place to dip your toe into the world of wine. For £22.50 per person you’ll get to sample one white and two reds, perfectly paired with Italian meats, cheeses and bruschetta. On the other end of the scale, the Finest Italian Wine Tasting is the ultimate premium experience – yours for £55 per person. Veeno’s expert team will guide you on a two hour tasting journey, including wines from all over Italy and their signature Italian sharing board.
