Taking a moment to step outside, whether for a breath of fresh air, a short walk, or a quiet pause, can make a real difference in how we feel. Research consistently shows that even brief time spent in natural environments can boost creativity, lift mood, and support overall wellbeing.
At Wellington Place, those moments of calm and clarity are never far away. Our landscaped gardens, mini museum, open public seating areas and link to the Monk Bridge Viaduct Garden are all designed to make nature a more natural part of the working day. Whether you’re recharging between meetings or taking five minutes in the sunshine, these green pockets offer a gentle reset that leaves you feeling more focused and energised.

How we’re bringing green thinking to life
We’ve always believed that looking after people and looking after the planet go hand in hand. That’s why sustainability sits at the heart of everything we do at Wellington Place. Our buildings are designed with low‑carbon principles and the latest technology to help reduce environmental impact, supporting businesses to lower their carbon footprint while also cutting energy use and costs.
We also want to make everyday sustainable choices simple and enjoyable. Discounted public transport and free bike hire make greener travel practical and accessible, while the nearby cycle routes and canal paths encourage more moments outdoors. Beyond the commute, we’re continuing to enhance biodiversity across the neighbourhood, ensure 0% of waste is sent to landfills, explore zero-carbon technologies and nurture an environment that feels vibrant and alive.
And there’s more to come. Later this spring, we’ll be launching a new initiative to help our community get hands-on with the nature that surrounds us. ROOTS: The WP Gardening Club, will be an inclusive and accessible gardening experience designed to help members of our neighbourhood connect with nature, care for the local environment and build a solid foundation in gardening skills. Stay tuned for more details coming soon!

Our much-loved beekeeping workshops are back. Led by Beekeeper Bill, these friendly, informative sessions offer a peek into the fascinating world of hive care. Every attendee will head home with a jar of Wellington Place honey, a delicious taste of what our bees have been busy creating.
