Art doesn’t just exist in an art gallery, it’s all around us
Over the next six weeks, It’s Proper Art, a project by Found Fiction in association with Leeds BID, is taking over Leeds and turning it into a gallery. They’ve created and installed faux art descriptions on buildings across the city, from workplaces to university buildings and shopping centres.
These texts imply that each building and everyone inside it is a work of art, and every description is unique to each of the buildings involved in the programme.
Wellington Place has it’s very own gallery description on the wagon lifting hoist in Tower Square. Make sure you check it out, read what it has to say and set off on an artistic trail around the city. Share your experiences on social using #itsproperart.
