Following the success of the last clothes drop, which raised an estimated £1000, Martin House Children’s Hospice will be visiting Wellington Place again on Tuesday 12th February between 8am – 10am outside the main entrance at 3 Wellington Place.
Simply bring in a bin bag full of any clothes, toys, games and unwanted household items that are in a re-salable condition, which will then be donated to the local charity shops. You can also bring in old textiles, in a seperate bag, which Martin House are able to recycle in exchange for donations.
Martin House is a Yorkshire based operation which offers family-led care for children and young people aged 0-19 years old with life-shortening conditions. They offer support and advice to the children and their families and create a peaceful yet fun environment for the children staying at the hospice, through the money raised in their local shops.
For one full bin bag of items, Martin House gets around £25! This could be used to provide a pampering session for a teenager in need of some ‘me’ time at the hospice.
