Cycling to and from work provides a fantastic opportunity to take a break from the demands of social media, allowing you to observe the environment from a unique perspective and places you in control of your own commute – and it’s fun!
The new Cycle Superhighway from Bradford and new off-road cycle routes on Whitehall Road provide safe and accessible routes for commuting to Wellington Place, making it even easier to bike to work. Additionally, if you prefer a more peaceful, off-road cycling route with exceptional scenery, the Leeds and Liverpool canal tow path is the perfect alternative.
Whether you like to take your time or want to take a more direct route home, the wide scope of cycling routes available in Leeds enables you to change routes depending on your preference. Planning your cycle route is simple and easily done via Cycle Map.
For some, confidence cycling on the road or having not cycled in years can be a barrier to trying this alternative form of transport, but if you’re keen to start and try again, CityConnect offer various levels of FREE training courses. They will be at our Cycle Festival promoting their courses, or you can sign up on their website.
Cycle Republic will be offering basic cycle maintenance for free, and promoting their fantastic 10% discount for Wellington Place staff at the festival, too.
If you’ve missed it, see everything you will find at the upcoming Wellington Place Cycle Festival, here!
